We reused the project “ble_app_hrm” from the SDK v6 and ran it using the NRF6310 board, everything is ok.
We just received our own boards. We used our own “board.h” file re-mapping the pinout we

RE: 16MHz Crystal not running

Ok, we found the problem, now it is running all good!
After getting up and running the 16Mhz Crystal, we enabled the TWI routines which went int conflict with the soft device due to the peripherals management (we were using the TWI_hw_master example from SDK v6) so we downloaded the set of files from this post, and it works just fine!

Thanks!

RE: 16MHz Crystal not running

Check the SoftDevice initialization and the 32.768kHz crystal for accuracy. You can in fact run a nRF51822 with specifying the wrong HF crystal and the program should still run. However nothing works without the LF crystal working properly. What LF crystal are you using?

RE: 16MHz Crystal not running

How far along in the firmware do you get before it stops? Just found out that the internal 16MHz Rc was running instead of the external crystal, check out this post

now we can measure the 16MHz crystal with the scope, never the less the program is not running. probably a problem with the soft device initialization. we'll see

cheers
