I notice that the adafruit example project is only setup for the pca10040 board (nRF52832), but I don't see any reason why you should not be able to interface this from the nRF52840, but of course you may need to change the gpios in the project.

However, the article states "This information applies to the nRF52832 SoC only."

Do you know if it is possible to read both NFC and RFID data?
