I have a desig where the space is minimal and I have one nRF52838 and one nRF52840 microcontroller. Is it possible to place them at the same coorinates, but on oposite sides of the PCB (one on top layer and one on bottom layer)? And if so, can they

RE: Placing nRF52832 and nRF52840 on oposite sides of a four layer PCB

Hi Marjeris,

Thank you for your answer. I use a 4-layer PCB but for now I have VDD planes in the internal layers, but I can chang at least one to GND.

No problem doing this, but you need to have a internal ground plane between the two. So for 2-layer PCB it will not work, but 4-layers will be fine. You can send your files for review in a private ticket here in Devzone as well if you have any more questions.

EDIT: but you will have the same limitation as if the two chips where place right beside each other. You will not be able to receive while the other one is transmitting and same the other way withouth interferance.

Best regards,
