Using power profiler I measured power consumption of BLE mesh and it gives ~12mA.
What I would like to know is why the device is consuming more power during scan. And I see in "scanner_init" function we are setting power and how does it effect

RE: Power consumption BLE mesh

Hi,

It is normal that a device is consuming more power during a scan. Just note that using Bluetooth Mesh causes higher power consumption than traditional Bluetooth low energy applications. This is mainly due to the need for keeping the radio running constantly. Bluetooth Mesh is a broadcast-based network protocol, where every device in the network sends and receives all messages to and from all devices within radio range.

Setting power in that function will affect the transmit power of the radio.
