The desktop version uses an nRF5x device to scan, which again uses the <a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.nordic.infocenter.nrf52832.ps.v1.1%2Fradio.html&amp;cp=3_1_0_22_13_23&amp;anchor=register.RSSISAMPLE">RSSISAMPLE </a>to read the RSSI value of advertising devices in the range of 0 to -127 dBm, theoretically. However, the <a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.nordic.infocenter.nrf52832.ps.v1.1%2Fradio.html&amp;cp=3_1_0_22_14_8&amp;anchor=unique_1701721635">stated accuracy</a> of +-2dB in the radio is only valid in the range of -90 to -20 dBm, so -90 would be the minimum &quot;valid&quot; signal level in practice.
