i have installed the link you have shared it is 5.1.0 and still over serial DFU is not happening

In the v5.2.0 version of nrfutil there is no --dev-revision or --dev-type option. Are you sure that you are using the v5.2.0 version? The FWID values for the --sd-req option can be found on the https://github.com/NordicSemiconductor/pc-nrfutil site. The application-version is defined by the developer.

Can you please tell where i can get following details

--application-version version: the version of the application image, for example, 0xff
--dev-revision version: the revision of the device that should accept the image, for example, 1
--dev-type type: the type of the device that should accept the image, for example, 1
--sd-req sd_list: a comma-separated list of FWID values of SoftDevices that are valid to be used with the new image, for example, 0x4f,0x5a

Yes i get this response even after MSD is disabled and verified that MSD is disabled

This was the response i got. i installed nrfutil.exe

Ok, did you install nrfutil using pip install or did you download the .exe from https://github.com/NordicSemiconductor/pc-nrfutil/releases ?

If you're not using the .exe, then please download that. If you are using it, then please run nrfutil with the -vvvv option, i.e.

nrfutil -vvvv dfu serial -pkg app_dfu_package_2.zip -p COM3 -b 115200

This should generate a more detailed log.

Yes device is connected and enumerated as com port 3

Ok, pleas post the nrfutil command you're using to initiate the DFU procedure. Does the board enumerate as a COM port when you open the "Device Manager" in Win 10?

Ok, the MSD issue appears to be specific to Mac OS X. Which OS are you running on the machine you'r running nrfutil on?
