I know BLE apps running in the background can work with iPhone 11, but there may be some change in the behavior. In Accessory Design Guidelines for Apple Devices R10 (just updated), Apple states that "Note that, depending on its state, the device may not always perform active scanning", without any more clarification. So you should not assume that active scanning is always done. Therefore, you should put all the data you absolutely need in the advertising packet rather than the scan response packet.

RE: iPhone11 + iOS13.1.2 cannot connect to nRF52832 based IoT device

By "it" I meant "the iPhone11 + iOS13.1.2":

Other Android phone are also fine. We cannot find information on what BLE dual mode chip is used in iPhone11 (assuming it is BCM43xx) and what stack firmware is used. When Nordic develop BLE chipset, do you perform interoperability test before release other than SIG UPFs? Could you have test team test on iPhone?

RE: iPhone11 + iOS13.1.2 cannot connect to nRF52832 based IoT device

Can it connect to any other BLE device(s) ?
