I'm currently making energy measurments with an nrf9160 DK. The software project is based on the udp_with_psm sample. I would like to run the test on different tx-power levels.
I have seen that the tx power can be adapted with the AT%XRFTEST,

RE: Set Tx Power on nrf9160

Hi,

There is no way to change or limit the output power manually on the nRF9160. The cell tower will drive this communication, and tell you to use a lower output power setting if the link budget is good when communicating with it.

%XRFTEST is a RF test mode, where it can be set in different modes; but be sure to test this in a RF-chamber, as you're dealing with licensed bands.

Kind regards,

Håkon
