For me this github repo helped. In the file ble_cus.h the function ble_cus_custom_value_update() is what I guess you are looking for.

Sorry, I was a bit trigger-happy there. I forgot that we have this awesome "continuation" on the characteristics tutorial, showing how to add multiple characteristics as well as updating their values.

That should be more like it.

I do not think this is exactly what I need.

I have added a service and multiple characteristics inside it. Now I need to update the values of the characteristics during run time, like temperature, battery etc.
