I'm trying to get access to the nrf52840 in the nrf9160 using the nRF Connect v 3.2.0 but I'm having this message

It seems that the device is not being recognized by the app. It's something wrong with the firmware. What should I do

RE: Trying to access the nrf52840 in the nrf9160.

Hi,

A short update on this one: Developers are looking into allowing unrecognized/custom boards. In that case you will need to program the board with the connectivity firmware manually, as nRF Connect wouldn't know what firmware is required. If implemented, this will be possible in a future version of nRF Connect for Desktop. However, for now the supported boards are as previously listed.

The nRF9160 DK is not supported for BLE connectivity for nRF Connect. Currently supported boards, for the nRF Connect Bluetooth Low Energy app, are the nRF51 Dongle, nRF51 DK, nRF52 DK, nRF52840 DK and nRF52840 Dongle.
