8bit CRC is too short, you need to use 16bit CRC and/or add checksum in the payload to identify errors.

Address length: 4 byte
CRC length: 8 bit

So what are the radio parameters you have used, in specific what is the address and CRC length?

Hi,

Thanks for the mail. We don't think we used "BLE softdevice".

We use nRF mode doing a simple RFID application. 200 Tags (nRF52810) wake up and broadcast only their ID packet every 5 sec and then go to sleep. The reader (RF52832) is always on and receive the tags' ID. It is unlikely that the reader picks up others' packets because the 200 tags and reader were in a shield room.

Hi,

I presume you are using a BLE softdevice to scan for peripheral devices that are advertising here?

The advertisement packet contains a 24bit CRC, so it is slightly unlikely that an advertisement packet with errors will pass, but it is possible.

Is it possible that you may be picking up advertisement packets from beacons that are not yours?
