Sorry, nRFConnect doesn't support the nRF52811 chip as of yet either. What is confirmed to work, is the nRF Command Line Tools (for programming .hex files), as well as using SEGGER Embedded Studios and Keil µvision for full projects. Again, sorry that I mislead you.

The nRF52832 still works well. However, nRF52811 cannot read memory.

1. As long as you use the QFN48 variant of the SoCs they have the same pin mapping, and there should not be a problem switching it out.

2. That is likely the issue. As the latest nRFGo Studio update was released prior to the nRF52811, so they won't be compatible. In any case, nRFgo Studio is an outdated program, and we generally recommend using nRF Connect for Desktop instead. Please try the nRFConnect programmer app instead as that should be able to detect nRF52811 chips.

3. The nRF52811 is hardware compatible with Bluetooth 5.1 and is in theory capable of direction-finding. However, we don't have software examples and hardware layouts/suggestions for direction-finding at the moment. If you need information on if/when this will be released, please contact your regional sales manager (RSM). If you don't have your RSM's contact information, please fill out our Sales related questions form here.

Best regards,
