Please read the detailed description of the CTS client module on the Infocenter. After pairing, you should be able to discover the current time service, and then the application should be able to read the current time using ble_cts_c_current_time_read.

Ok, I got the CTS on the phone app. But I only see predefined Service and characteristic metadata(UUID, properties). Is there also a way to 'write' or see the actual Current Time characteristic Value?

Yes, you should be able to use the nRFConnect app on your phone to test the CTS example. If you go to Configure GATT Server in the phone app, and add the current time service in a sample configuration, you should be able to get the CTS.

Hi Simon,

The example on the Infocenter doesn't mention explicitly the need for 2 DK's, hence I was confused.

So if I don't have another DK, you say that I can use a phone with the nRF connect app as the central to test the CTS. However, the example only mentions instructions to test with the nRF Connect Desktop app via a UART connection.

Is there a procedure to test the CTS example with a phone running the nRF Connect app?

Hi Rohit

Yes, you will need a central to connect to in order to test the current time service. You can either use another DK as the central, or a smartphone supporting BLE with the nRFConnect app. You can see how to set up and test the example here on the Infocenter.
