The reason for the change is because we decided to change the battery on the Thingy:52.

Before we had a battery without a thermistor (2 wire) and a thermistor on the PCB. Now we have a battery with thermistor (3 wire).

The latest HW files should be available for download on our website soon.

Hi.

The connector is a 1.0 mm pitch connector (Part number: SM03B-SRSS-TB(LF)(SN) ).

The new version of the Thingy:52 should be v.1.1.0. You should be able to see that on the sticker placed on the Thingy:52.

I've forwarded the questions about the reason for the change to our developers, I'll get back to you with more information.

Can you post a link to the connector that is used on the board now? Also, can you please tell me the two different version numbers for the board so we know what we are ordering? Also, can you give a little background on the reason for the change? Thanks for your help.

Hi.

You are correct. There has been a change to the Thingy:52 HW.

It doesn't seem that the new HW files has been released yet, but they should be soon.

The third wire from the battery is connected to the PMIC ( U16 - XC6804A4E1). It is connected to the THIN pin of the PMIC, which we can see from the PMIC datasheet is the Temperature Detection.

Yes, we are working with the Thingy:52. The battery appears to have changed as well as the power connector into the board from 2 wires to 3.

I wasn't aware of any new release of the Thingy:52. I'll make a request internally to our developers about this.

I just want to double check that it is the Thingy:52, and not the Thingy:91 you are working with here?
