I prevented safari from unzipping the downloaded file. When I uploaded the downloaded zip file, it worked fine. I was able to update the firmware. I guess when safari downloads and unzips the file the file, prevents certain components to be unzipped or as they say it puts in "safe mode". Anyway, thank you for your help. I really appreciate it.

I am using the same Zip File. When I download this file, it gets downloaded as mfw_nrf9160_1 on my mac. I have to compress it again so that the programmer reads it.

The name of the modem firmware looks a bit odd. Have you renamed it?

Can you try with this one:

Are you still using v1.0.2 of the Programmer application?

For me, the latest version is 1.2.3

It might be that the zip file is in a directory where you do not have write permission.

Could you try to move the zip file to a different directory and try again?

We are aware of problems with installing and using the Command Line Tools 10.4.0 on Linux and macOS.

Yes, that is exactly the tutorial I am taking about.

1. I am using the latest version of the nRF Connect for Desktop (v3.2.0) and the Programmer application (v1.0.2).

2. It is a nRF91DK

3. I am using Release 10.4.0 for "nrfjprog".

4. For "erase all " I used for the programmer application in the nRF connect for desktop app. There is a tab under Devices, "Erase All".

1. What version of the nRF Connect for Desktop and the Programmer application are you using?

2. Is this an nRF91DK or a Thingy:91 (or a custom device)?

3. What version of nrfjprog are you using?

4. How did you "erase all"?
