 In preparation for this I am attempting to get AT communication working on a NRF9160dk after rerouting UART0.

&lt;p&gt;The pins you&amp;#39;ve chosen for RTS and CTS are already used for Button 1 and Button 2 on the DK, see &lt;a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/ug_nrf91_dk/UG/nrf91_DK/board_controller.html"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Try using P0.10 and P0.11 instead and see if that fixes it.&lt;/p&gt;
