Thank you! In "ncs/zephyr/scripts/requirements.txt ", I changed "hub" to "git-spindle" and the error no longer persists!

Okay. That's the correct version.

But I think your mistake relates to the issue in this thread. The "hub==x.x" package is deprecated, and its name in ncs/zephyr/scripts/requirements.txt should be changed to "git-spindle==2.0". Take a look at the suggested answer in the thread.
