I have a nRF52840 DK (PCA10056 v0.9.0). I tried the long range (Coded PHY) but it throws an error and didn't work. I read in nordic forums that the chip revision should be C.
Now the question I have is how do I know what chip revision I have?

RE: The chip revision of nRF52840

Hi Jared,

I just bought a reel of nRF52840 for a production run and received Engineering Revision C (0.12.0). Our product requires Coded PHY (BLE Long Range).
My previous comment had a URL link to infocenter where it's written which DK revision has which IC version. You can find it here. IC version 1.1.0 is the latest revision that supports long range but the previous version 1.0.0 supports it too.

regards

I found one in an online shop with version PCA10056v1.0.0. Does this board has the latest IC revision ( which support long range)?

Thanks for the prompt reply. Now my question is how to map the revision of the chip to the revision of PCA10056.

As I can see they have different versions! I found the revision info from this link:

https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcomp_matrix_nrf52840%2FCOMP%2Fnrf52840%2FnRF52840_ic_revision_overview.html

But there is no information about the revision of PCA10056 V x.x.x?

I want to but a DK with at leats C revision and I wanna make sure that I buy the right revision.

Regards,
