PSM is a low power mode, but if you want even lower power consumption you could put the chip in system off mode. Here's a code example.

If you want to know how to set the modem in PSM you can look at this example

Run CFUN=4 to disconnect from the network first if you're not sure the network can handle an immediate reset.
