I'm working on a small BLE proof of concept and I have an nRF52840DK board. I've got Wireshark up and detecting BLE Advertisements.
One of the devices I am trying to use is

RE: Rookie seeking help to receive extended adverts

I don't have a date that the feature will be supported, I don't think it will be soon.

Note that you can scan for extended advertising using S132/S140 softdevice. There is no special requirement, just enable extended=1 in the ble_gap_scan_params_t struct.

RE: Rookie seeking help to receive extended adverts

That's disappointing.... Any date of an expected release of nRF sniffer that has this feature?

RE: Rookie seeking help to receive extended adverts

Hi Lance,

Unfortunately, extended advertising is not supported by Nordic sniffer yet. I assuming you are using our nRF Sniffer ?

You may be able to see the initial packet ADV_EXT_IND but not the actual data extended packets.

For now, you may need to get a 3rd party sniffer, for example the Ellisys.
