So that can simple relay/repeate all the BLE packets?

We are thinking into the same directions, as having problem with indoor range limitations, but want to avoid the development time and cost.

Nordic QA

RE: Any ideas for designing a BLE repeater?

Hi,

1) Yes, it's feasible.

2) A nRF52840 can act concurrently as both master and slave, so you only need 1 nRF52840 for the relay/repeater. We have a relay example in the nRF5 SDK. See this link.

3) Another option could be to use a mesh network instead, e.g. with Bluetooth Mesh, Zigbee or Thread.
