Yes, There can be several reasons why the board (asserts) resets so for your specific issue, we need to know your log output, SIM card used, network connected to etc.

I'm quite sure there is connectivity where i'm testing as a thingy on the table has a perfect lte link...

I have the exact same problem but with the lastest firmware downloaded from nordic website. so it cannot be a NCS problem.

Hi Akash,

Sorry, but I did not see the details in your log until now.
- "LTE link could not be established."

That means that you most likely do not have coverage in your area for the LTE-M network.

- Please run the AT client sample with LTE Link Monitor for further investigation.

There you can easily change the modem to switch to NB-IoT network if you have coverage in your area, but please make sure to use a local SIM that supports this since iBasis SIM supports only LTE-M atm.

I am using the below branches as suggested, but no Luck.

* (HEAD detached at 2ca6e9cb) ==> Continuous rebooting

* v1.1.0 ==> Continuous rebooting

NOTE: nF9160 DK (PCA10090), is a very new device.

I am using all the tools are new versions [ nRF Connect Desktop V3.2.0 ].

However, I am using the above [ nrf9160dk_asset_tracker_09-10-2019_c9c833b1.hex ] Image to flash nRF9160 DK (PCA10090), which is the latest Image officially from Nordic.

I am wondering, why even this Image was NOT through...!!

Please help out with this issue, as its blocking my development activity.

Hi Akash,

It sounds like you are using an unstable version of the NCS.
Please utilize the tags for a stable experience.

I recommend v1.0.0:

cd ncs/nrf
git checkout master
git pull
git checkout v1.0.0
west update

Or to get the newest features you could use the v1.1 Branch (a tag will be released later for this branch)

cd ncs/nrf
git checkout master
git pull
git checkout v1.1-branch
west update

Please make sure you have the newest nrfjprog
