&lt;p&gt;Is it possible that your application is calling system_off() or systemreset() anywhere?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What is the value of the NRF_POWER-&amp;gt;RESETREAS register in the beginning of main()? Make sure to clear reset reason after reading to avoid that is accumulate several reset reasons.&lt;/p&gt;
