&lt;p&gt;You are correct in regards to the hardware, but the cost of nRF51422 is a but higher. This is because you are paying to use the ANT stack, developed by Dynastream.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Our newest kit, nRF51 DK comes with the nRF51422 chip. It can be used with all our stacks.
