I was wondering how many active ble 4.0 devices can the nRF51822 IC support at one time?
thanks,

With S120, how many peripherals can I connect? Or at least how many can I scan within a reasonable interval ?

RE: how many ble 4.0 devices can connect up to the nRF51822 IC through ble 4.0 while the nRF51822?

Please note that this is limited by the SoftDevice you flash onto the IC, not the IC itself. The current S110 SoftDevice, as Ole Morten pointed out, can only act as a peripheral (i.e. slave) meaning a single connection with a master is all the device can do. Future SoftDevices which implement the central (master) role may allow you to connect to more peripheral (slave) devices at once.

RE: how many ble 4.0 devices can connect up to the nRF51822 IC through ble 4.0 while the nRF51822?

Currently, we only have a Peripheral softdevice, and a BLE Peripheral can only be connected to one Central at a time, per the Bluetooth Core Specification.
