I&amp;#39;m using soft-device (bluetooth abstraction) version S110-SD-v7.1.0 , and SDK (API&amp;#39;s to use that soft-device) version nRF-SDK-v6.1.0 .

But it should not be any problem to build one using KEIL, out of the box.

&lt;p&gt;I would start with the HRS example(with DFU):&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;C:\Nordic Semiconductor\nRF51_SDK_7.1.0_372d17a\examples\ble_peripheral\ble_app_hrs\pca10028\experimental_s110_with_dfu\arm.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;There is no app note but I think you are looking for this:&lt;/p&gt;
