I don't see what you're trying to achieve. are you trying to program the PCA10040 chip in the picture with another JLINK device? In that case, you have misunderstood. In order to restore the operation of your debug chip, you have to make it enter bootloader mode as described in Turbo J's and my first replies. Also, you have not connected the cables as described in this picture correctly, the VDD should be shorted to the VTG pin, and the GND DETECT pin must be connected to ground on the board.

The P20 header can be used to program a custom board, but is this how you want to use it? Did you have any luck reapplying the Interface MCU firmware?

What Turbo J is suggesting, is to drag and drop the Interface MCU firmware file, downloadable here, into the drive that opens when you power up the DK as described to enter the bootloader in the nRF52DK user guide in order to get the standard firmware back onto the debugger MCU.

Just re-apply the Interface MCU firmware from the DKs downloads page: Power-up the kit with the reset button pressed, then copy the firmware onto the newly opened drive.
