In that case, you have misunderstood. In order to restore the operation of your debug chip, you have to make it enter bootloader mode as described in &lt;a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/members/turboj"&gt;Turbo J&lt;/a&gt;&amp;#39;s and my first replies. Also, you have not connected the cables as described in this picture correctly, the VDD should be shorted to the VTG pin, and the GND DETECT pin must be connected to ground on the board.&lt;/p&gt;
