We are using a BLE module based on Nordic nRF52832 in a new product we are developing.
The nRF52832 & softdevice has its own QDID - 115277.
However the module also has a QDID - 95452.
Which would we put on the declaration? Looking at other products

RE: Which Bluetooth QDID to use for declaration

Ah ok. So we can for example use one QDID, i.e. the Nordic one 103875 and not worry about adding the rigardo RF-PHY QDID 95452.

The process on blueooth website is easy with just the nordic QDID as it is a 'end device'. More complicated when you want to add components.

I have seen a few other products just referenceing the nordic QDID, even though they must have either used a module, or built their own antenna / matching circuit etc.

Thanks

The only requirement then is that you do a re-test of the RF-PHY, but that's already done by Rigardo (95452)

RE: Which Bluetooth QDID to use for declaration

Thanks.

The Rigardo module (QDID - 95452) referenced in the datasheet is only a RF-PHY QDID, and so is classed as a 'component' on the bluetooth website. It won't let me use that on its own, which is why I was looking at using the nordic one.

Not really sure, as different products seem to have done different things looking in the database. Some reference just the nordic QDID, and others reference a few different ones.

The module's QDID is the complete design, including the chip and RF-PHY. It doesn't matter what QDID you refer to as the module's RF-PHY has been tested, hence your product has been tested as well.
