I'm refering to the hardware UART. I'm not using bluetooth for serial.
I'm using SDK 7.2. I tried the uart example(no softdevice) under examples\peripheral\uart

RE: UART(hardware) when using s110 on pca10028

Hi

You should select app_uart with FIFO from Run Time Environment of Keil.

RE: UART(hardware) when using s110 on pca10028

Hi Matt

Actually, this example also sends and receives over the hardware UART. It receives messages from a central device and forwards that to the hardware UART (see nus_data_handler callback function) and receives data from the hardware UART (see UART0_IRQHandler) and forwards that to the softdevice in order to send it over BLE. Do you think that could help you to figure out how to do this?

RE: UART(hardware) when using s110 on pca10028

Thanks Stefan,
I'm actually referring to the hardware uart. I've edited my original post to reflect this.

RE: UART(hardware) when using s110 on pca10028

Hi

Have you seen the UART example in the nRF51 SDK 7.2.0 under \Nordic\nRF51_SDK_7.2.0_cf547b5\examples\ble_peripheral\experimental_ble_app_uart which also uses the S110 softdevice.
