Yes, I can see that I was looking at the v.15.3.0 release notes as well.

As both versions of the SDK has used the same GCC version for testing and verification, I assume that the issue is valid for the both versions of the SDK.
I will forward this internally.

I checked the note that you mentioned and it is found only when you scroll down a few pages to the previous release (nRF5 SDK v15.3.0). If the issue is still valid then it would be good to have this listed in the v16.x.x notes, too.

As stated in the nRF5 SDK release notes:

The selected GCC version has shown instabilities when using the Link Time Optimization feature, and using the feature is not recommended.
