Okay, thanks for the information.

After the build fails can you make sure to select Show: Transcript and Output and in the drop-down menu to the right select all the options.

Then copy the complete output in a text file and attach it in your next reply.

SDK16 and ARMV4.30c, not sure about gnu. From compiler setting, gnu99 and gnu++98 sound right?

No, it does not usually need to be manually edited.

What SDK version and Segger version and GNU Arm Embedded Toolchain version are you using?

Sorry for the delay, I did what you said and re-downloaded the SDK. I was able to reproduce the blinky example but had to copy the flash_placement xml because I was getting a linker error. Does this document need to be manually edited every time or should it have been updated automatically? I forgot to save a copy of the xml so I cannot recreate the error, but I remember that it stated these were not defined in the.o file.

e.g. __start_nrf_sections

Hi!

It's hard to see what's going on from a partial error message. But I suggest removing the whole SDK directory and downloading it again. If you're still having errors, please update the post with a complete logfile from SES.
