4. The reset on the end is there to just to do a reset. If you want to use anything else than the default parameters you should send a LE_TEST_SETUP command before starting the tests.

3) Yes UART Vendor specific, I can understand. How about HCI Vendor specific. This is for my better understanding though Nordic does not support.

4.a) Why LE_Reset / LE_Test_Setup is sent at last rather than beginning of the the setup.

1. untested, is devices waiting to be tested. While tested is devices that has completed the test.

2. Our DTM implementation does not support HCI, only UART - DTM. The phy is changed as part of the test setup command. See the bluetooth core spec. Volum 6. Part F: Direct test mode. Chapter 3.3.2 Commands has a list of the supported commands.
