We do have some information about the nRF52810 and that the projects in the subfolder pca1004e has to be used for it, check it out under nRF52 Series-->nRF52810-->Development kit for nRF52810.

Sorry, Simon but it still wasn't clear what the difference is between PCA10040 and PCA10040e. The 'e' part isn't listed in the development kit list here, although the chip for nRF52 is listed as "nRF52832/nRF52810": https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp?topic=%2Fug_gsg_ses%2FUG%2Fgsg%2Fchips_and_sds.html

There happen to be S112 examples for ble_app_uart for both the PCA10040 and PCA10040e. Digging into the build options for both, it seems that the 'e' board has the nRF52810 chip instead of the nRF52832. Would be nice if the table linked above splits this information out explicitly rather than having to dig into the projects.

If the project is not present for the nRF52810 (pca10040e), you can create your own emulated projects by following the steps in the User Guide for the nRF52810, under Creating your own emulated project.

Be aware that the project needs to be hardware compatible in order to be emulated, which means it uses only the resources present in nRF52810, including peripherals and memory.
