thanks a lot! It seems to work now with both UARTS (as far as tested it).
(@NORDIC: I just wonder, why this bug is still uncovered in SDK16, because it is obviously known since SDK15).

Looks to me like you are using nrf_serial library, in which case you may find this useful:

I recommend to check out the libuarte driver instead:
