Hmm, that is strange.

If I may bother you some more, are you able to build the latest master branch?

And have you remembered to call "west update" after changing tags?

Hi Didrik,

Not really sure why v1.1.0 wouldn't work.
Still getting the same "using out of tree board" error with v1.1.0

Im using the: "gcc-arm-none-eabi-8-2019-q3-update" downloaded from inside the nRF Connect v3.3.0 - getting started assistant.

However, I am a bit curious about why you are not able to build v1.1.0

Which version of the toolchain are you using?

solved "out of tree board" by using ncs v1.0.0 instead of v1.1.0

can probably close this one down...

However there seems to pop up problems around all corner, I can't get past the

solution: didn't realise that I had to add at a folder for the new project at the end of Build Directory, example: ~/ncs/nrf/application/asset_tracker/build
