Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that you were not able to get your board running as intended. Have you looked at our nRF9160 DK documentation?

The "Get your nRF9160 DK online" is somewhat outdated, and lacking relevant links. Before starting, please install latest version of nRF Command Line Tools (v10.6.0)

Step 1 instructs you to download nRF Connect for Desktop and use the Programmer app found in nRF Connect for Desktop, to update the modem firmware. Latest modem FW (v1.1.0) can be along with the precompiled application firmware found here (in the download tab of nRF9160 product page)

The precompiled application firmware includes the following:

You are also instructed to update the certificates, please follow this guide.

After updating the modem FW and updating certificates, please install the latest version of Asset Tracker. Do you have LTE-M or NB-IoT connection in your location?

I recommend installing the Getting Started Assistant app, which helps you to set up your nRF Connect SDK development environment and guides you through installing the required software on your computer to start your own development.

Step 2 to step 5 - As you have an nRF Cloud account, please make sure to follow steps correctly when clicking Add New LTE Device.

First, you need to register the iBasis SIM:

Insert the SIM card in the SIM connector on the nRF9160DK.
The next step will be to enter IMEI and HWID found on a label under your board. In your first attempt, you have added the SIM ICCID in the IMEI field. This is the reason it fails.
