&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;I don&amp;#39;t have much experience with Android development either, but there looks to be several plugins/packages available for decoding protobuf streams.&amp;nbsp;E.g., you can probably use this&amp;nbsp;plugin from Google&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://github.com/google/protobuf-gradle-plugin"&gt;https://github.com/google/protobuf-gradle-plugin&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;if the app is going to be developed with Java.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
