Good answer! To add a bit to this, the peripheral in the S130 has more packet buffers and therefore more throughput than the centrals. If you want to send and receive a lot of data (e.g. DFU) it is better to be the peripheral in that case.

Hello,

here's what you can do with the S130 0.9 alpha:

You can connect to 3 peripherals (your device will be the master)
You can connect to 1 central (your device will the the slave)
You can send advertisements at all times and you can scan at all times (no scanning in the short time while you try to set up a connection with another peripheral). However you can only send connectable advertisements while you are not connected to a central. As soon as you are connected to a central, you must send non-connectable advertisements.

Data transfer to all connected devices is possible in both directions. It does not matter if you want to send data to a central or a peripheral. The connections go in both directions and are not linked to the role that your device has (central or peripheral).
