As a workaround, can you try to select the nRF53 device manually in the debugger settings? By right-clicking on "Solution <my project>" -> Options and navigation to the "Debugger" section:

Hi,

Thanks for the update. Now I am using Bluetooth: Throughput sample referring to https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/samples/bluetooth/throughput/README.html#ble-throughput. Solution is building fine without any error. After that I connected my nRF5340-PDK board and tried to program the sample to the connected board using Target -> Download zephyr/zephyr.elf. Following error is coming

Do we need any other connections other than USB?

Please advise.

Hi,

The asset_tracker only works with the nRF9160 device:

Thanks for the update. I was on v1.10 earlier. Now I am able to add the board path. However I am facing a new error when loading nRF5340. The error is not observed when I load nRF9160 board. Attaching the error log

Hi,

Which release of ncs are you on?

If you are on v1.1.0, then the nrf5340 board is not present: https://github.com/NordicPlayground/fw-nrfconnect-zephyr/tree/v2.0.99-ncs1-branch/boards/arm

If you checkout master, it should be:

cd path/to/ncs/nrf
git pull
git checkout master
west update

Could you try this and see if you can find the board now?
