&lt;p&gt;Sleepy end device seems like a suitable role for your case, as it rarely (ever?) needs to receive messages, but only transmit when you want to open/close the door.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What did you set the interval to? And why does it not work if you are away from home for 1 month? Is the battery flat? Have you tried to monitor the current consumption? Are you sure it isn&amp;#39;t something else drawing current?&lt;/p&gt;
