@neil: sorry for late reponse. I was on a biz trip. You can choose not to use HWFC by using false in the HWFC input when calling simple_uart_config(), you can use any unused pin for CTS and RTS. I usually use pin 31.

Thanks for your answer, Hung How to don't using a hardware flow control? Just adjusting the simple_uart_config()? (delete cts_pin_number, rts_pin_number?) I think my fatal mistake is don't setup the CTS&RTS control

Hi Neil,

I don't see the difference between a UART terminal on PC and an external MCU connected via UART. If you don't use hardware flow control, you just need to connect the 2 lines RX and TX to the external MCU. If you use hardware flow control CTS and RTS lines are needed.
