Ok, its hard to say whats going on without seeing the actual code changes in the example you have modified.

I would, however, recommend using Segger Embedded Studio over Makefiles and GCC.

Ok now I know where is my problem. So I copied one of examples from nRF SDK and I changed a code in it. Really simple stuff nothing complicated. After that I am compiling a file with the pca10059 using Makefile which is in armgcc folder. Everything is fine it's working great, however, when I take a hex file and programmed it to the Dongle (of course via nRF Connect) it is a still the same program as in example. Nothing change. I am really sorry if it isn't making any sense but I really don't know how to explained it.

The nRF52840 Dongle can only switch from an application to the pre-programmed bootloader when using nRF Connect for Desktop if the application has added the DFU Trigger Library (USB). If not, then the dongle must be put manually in bootloader mode, by pressing the reset button.

bjorn-- yes I’ve done this moreover yestarday I managed to program one of my dongles but Still I have No idea why. It was so random.

HI Bronsun,

did you press the reset button on the nRF52840 dongle( small grey one, next to the white one)? The nRF52840 dongle should then blink red on LD2 to indicate that its in bootloader mode.
