Hi Duy,
The dongle doesn't have central firmware on it. When you use the dongle to connect to the PC and then do DFU from the PC to the nRF52 board , the nRF Connect application (or nrfutil.exe) act as the central DFU software. The dongle in this case is only the backend of the system.

How about the firmware of the nRF52840-Dongle? Does it have DFU central in it? Or it uses different method?

Hi Jchristf,

Unfortunately, we don't have new update on this matter. Our suggestion is to follow what we do in nRF Connect app on PC, or in the DFU library for Android or iOS.

We do have example for DFU master via UART and SPI, but BLE is still missing. But it could be a good source for reference. Please have a look here.
