Unfortunately, I haven't been able to reproduce this. I have no problem flashing and finding the board in the nRF Mesh app.

Can you try downloading a fresh copy of the SDK and try again?

It seems weird that it don't work on the latest release but on the earlier releases. Did you do the exact same thing with an earlier version, without any modifications, and it worked?

Which exact buttons are you pressing to download your code? Have you tried going clicking on "Target" - > "Download..."? Then power cycling the board.

Also try erasing everything before doing this.

Okay, if you leave board connected w/ SES debugger, and don't power cycle after downloading, then run the firmware inside the debugger, then nRF Mesh app will find the board properly and thus you can provision the board fine.

Hence the statement:

Provisioning w/ Android tool only works when board is connected to debugger.

Thanks for the response. Sorry I may have confused you.

The provisioning never happened since nRF Mesh app failed to find the board.

This never happened with old Mesh releases.

Im a little bit confused. So you have flashed over the firmware, use nRF Mesh to provision the board. After you have provision the board, you power cycle the board then try to search for the board again via nRF Mesh? Correct me if im wrong.

Yes, Mttrinh. I always use nRF Mesh app to for provisioning my devices. Always works with earlier Mesh releases.

After you downloaded the firmware to your board, did you provision the the board through nRF Mesh app?

I am using out of box Mesh 4 example below:

Which is the server application from light_switch folder.

I compiled, downloaded the my nRF52840 Dev Board by clicking on debug...Then stopped debug...

Power cycled the board.

Turn on the Android tool to add it to my Mesh network.

No matter what I do, tool fails to find it....

Can you give me more details? What doesn't work when you are not connected tot the debugger? Are you using a custom board? Which example are you testing with?
