We don't have any examples for the Thingy:52 in the nRF5 SDK v.16.0.0. If you want to use any examples in the nRF5 SDK v.16.0.0 you will have to modify this yourself. There is also no OB-debugger on the Thingy:52, so you need to use an external one to program/debug the Thingy:52. As you mention you have the nRF52-DK, so you can use the debugger on the DK for this.

1/2 I suggest that you take a look at the example code in the Thingy:52 SDK and use this with the Thingy smartphone application.
There is no SES-project available in the Thingy:52 SDK, but there is a SES project available here:
https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/51236/unable-to-compile-ses-project-in-thingy-52-sdk

3. We have a tutorial on how to add custom services here:
https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/nordic/short-range-guides/b/bluetooth-low-energy/posts/ble-services-a-beginners-tutorial

Best regards,
Joakim Jakobsen
