 but I end up with these errors every time: 
 
 I tried on windows 10, ubuntu 18.04, rapsbian on a pi3b with no luck.

&lt;p&gt;Then there is some problem with either the board or serial port drivers on the PC side. When this happens restarting the computer usually does the trick, it should work next time.
