The modem will remember which cell and the network it was last connected to, so that will help speed up the process.

One tip is to connect to the network, then send AT+CFUN=0. This will gracefully shut down the modem, which includes storing the current settings to flash. That way, next time you turn on the modem and try to connect to the network, it will go faster.

Hi Didrik,

after we have run the test again, there is no long dial-in time.
In the first attempts, the dial-in time was up to 2 minutes. Now we have about 10 seconds no matter which kit.

Hi.

After some discussion with one of our antenna experts, we do not believe that the difference in antenna design should have any major effect on the time to connect to the network.

Are they running the same application and modem firmware version?

Are they using the same SIM card or cards from the same provider?

How mus is "significantly longer"?
