&lt;p&gt;You are not allowed to write certificates when the modem is running. Please see&amp;nbsp;&lt;a title="Credential storage management %CMNG" href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/ref_at_commands/REF/at_commands/mob_termination_ctrl_status/cmng.html?cp=2_1_3_25"&gt;%CMNG&lt;/a&gt;/&lt;a title="Set command" href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/ref_at_commands/REF/at_commands/mob_termination_ctrl_status/cmng_set.html?cp=2_1_3_25_0"&gt;Set command&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;You could use AT+CFUN=4 to stop the modem, or not start it in the first place (although in some samples it is started during boot-up, before the application).&lt;/p&gt;
