Sure, it is a good idea to check out some beginner tutorials and learn by doing is usually a good way to go.

Please check the documentation for the difference between the nRF chips.

I'll try reading the tutorial about BLE.
There are some beginner's tutorials, should I start with old one?
Is the difference between nRF52840 and nRF52832 only that Softdevice is S140 and S132?

Going through the tutorials listens in the thread is a very good starting point.
