Hi,

nRF5340 will not support WiFi. WiFi requires a different radio, it can not just be added.

Hi there,

I am new the nRF5340 chip and still checking out whether this would be an alternative to wide spread simple wifi-ble combinated dual core chips. Would it be possible to add wifi and its protocols to the chip in the near future?

A wifi supporting nRF5340 chip would be a serious competitor in a rapidly growing market for tiny iot embedded devices.

nRF5340 does not support WiFi. We do have a cellular module, nRF9160, which supports LTE-M, NB-IoT, and GPS.
